| Rick Stein
received his BA in English from the University of Virginia,
Charlottesville, VA in 1965 and his LLB from the University of Texas
School of Law, Austin, TX in 1968. Early in his legal career, he
served as Corporations Counsel in the Corporate Finance Department
of the California Department of Corporations, the State regulatory
agency for the investment management industry. He practiced law in
Beverly Hills between 1970 and 1987 when he moved his law practice
to Palm Springs, CA. Mr. Stein specialized in business law and
securities fraud cases. In 1995, he founded Stein Investment
Advisory Service. Mr. Stein was born in Memphis, TN. He and his wife Marcia reside in Rancho Mirage, CA. The Steins were recipients of the Anti-Defamation League’s 2003 Mel and Helene Berman Humanitarian Award, awarded annually to a person or couple who have made significant leadership contributions to humanitarian causes.
